From approved hours to a finished payroll basis
Effiora combines hours approval and payroll-basis production in one flow: approve in one queue, see absence split into the right columns, catch shifts with no entry — and export a branded Excel workbook your accountant can use directly. Effiora is deliberately not a payroll system: it delivers the facts, payroll applies the rates.
Approval
Approval without friction
- One queue for all self-reported hours, with one-tap approval and a 5-second undo
- Bulk approval for whole periods
- Rejection requires a reason — the worker sees the status and can resubmit
- Adjustments with a note: approve at a corrected number of hours without altering the original entry — everything logged in a read-only deviations log
Payroll run
The payroll run: full overview per period
- Per employee: ordinary hours, absence split out (self-certified / doctor-certified / sick child / paid leave / vacation days) and adjustments
- "Missing entry": shifts with no hours and no absence are flagged — nothing slips through
- Period locking: lock the period when done; locking refuses while anything is still pending approval
On the road
Approve hours wherever you are
Approval does not wait for you to get back to the office. In the mobile app you approve hours on the go, and the insights view shows the split between approved and pending hours — so you always know how much remains before the payroll run.
Excel
The Excel workbook your accountant actually wants
- A summary sheet with totals per employee
- One sheet per employee: every shift with date, place, from–to, hours, type and note
- A dedicated "Missing entry" sheet
- "Of which" columns for night (21–06), Saturday, Sunday and public holidays — so payroll can apply the right supplements
- CSV export for systems that prefer it
Effiora is not a payroll system — it hands your accountant exactly the basis they need. Effiora states the hours and classification; the payroll system applies rates and overtime rules.
Frequently asked questions
What does the payroll basis from Effiora contain?
A branded Excel workbook with a summary sheet, one sheet per employee (every shift with date, place, from–to, hours, type and note), a "Missing entry" sheet, and informational "of which" columns for night, Saturday, Sunday and holiday hours. CSV is also available.
Is Effiora a payroll system?
No — deliberately. Effiora produces the payroll basis: approved hours and correctly classified absence. Your accountant or payroll system applies rates, supplements and overtime rules. That way you avoid maintaining payroll rules in two places.
How do I avoid shifts slipping through the payroll run?
The "Missing entry" check flags every shift that has neither hours nor registered absence, both on the payroll page and in a dedicated sheet in the export. On top of that, period locking refuses while anything is pending approval.
Can I adjust hours without overwriting the worker's entry?
Yes. You approve at a corrected number of hours with a note — the original entry is never silently altered, and all deviations sit in a read-only log. The worker sees their hours were adjusted-approved.
Does Effiora integrate with payroll systems?
The deliverable today is Excel and CSV export built to be used directly by your accountant or imported into your payroll system. The workbook is structured exactly for that.
