A team chat where everyone reads in their own language

Effiora has one shared group chat for the whole company, inside the app your workers already use for shifts and hours. If the coordinator writes in Norwegian and the cleaner reads Polish, she taps "Show translation" and sees the message in her language. Translation happens on the phone, so messages are never sent to a translation service. No more WhatsApp group mixing private and work.

One chat, the whole team

  • One room per company: every active worker is in, no channels to manage
  • Text and photos: send a picture of the blocked drain or the empty supply cupboard
  • Push to everyone: each message notifies the team on their phones, without flooding the in-app inbox
  • Read markers and an unread counter on the bell, so you can see who has seen the message

Translation that stays on the phone

The app detects the language of every message. If it differs from the user's app language, "Show translation" appears under the message. One tap shows the translation, "Show original" takes you back. Translation runs locally on the phone with language packs downloaded on demand, and is never stored. It works across all eight languages the app comes in.

Team chat in the Effiora app: messages in Polish, Ukrainian and Albanian with «Show translation» under each
The same chat translated to Norwegian on the phone, with «Show original» under each message

Eight languages, one conversation

Norwegian, English, Polish, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, Russian, Albanian and Filipino. Everyone writes in their language and reads in theirs.

Private, the way a work chat should be

Translation never leaves the phone. The chat lives in the company's Effiora account, not in a private app on the worker's phone.

Clean moderation

Everyone can delete their own messages. The operations manager can delete anything, and deletions are logged.

Frequently asked questions

How does translation in the chat work?

The app detects the language of each message. If it differs from your app language, "Show translation" appears under the message. One tap shows the translation, "Show original" takes you back. Translation runs on the phone using downloaded language packs, and message content is not sent to any server for translation.

Which languages does the chat support?

The same eight as the rest of the app: Norwegian, English, Polish, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, Russian, Albanian and Filipino.

Can we have multiple channels or direct messages?

No. The team chat is one shared room for the whole company, on purpose. It replaces the one WhatsApp group everyone has anyway; it is not meant to become another Slack.

Do workers get notified when someone writes?

Yes, as a push notification to every active worker except the sender. Several messages in a row are collapsed, so nobody gets ten pushes in one minute.

Who can delete messages?

Everyone can delete their own messages. The operations manager can delete any message. Deletions are logged.

Is the team chat included in the price?

Yes. Every feature is included in every plan. The chat is switched on per company when you want it.
